Education Worker vacancy – Wales
Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) is the UK’s leading anti-racism educational charity.
The aim of the organisation is to combat racism through delivering anti-racism education.
We are seeking to recruit an Education Worker to join our successful Welsh Team based in Cardiff.
This is a maternity cover role, for a fixed term period of 12 months – with the potential to extend if funding can be secured.
We are happy to consider applications from candidates seeking full time, part time or term-time only employment.
We offer a flexible working hours policy and remote/hybrid working.
14 / 21 / 28 / 35 hours per week
NJC Pay Scale 4 – Points 12 – 17: £29,542 – £32,046
6% pension
The post involves delivering programmes of anti-racism education to young people and adults throughout Wales and occasionally across the UK, working with the team to help organise anti-racism events, reporting, monitoring, and evaluating the work. The role may also include developing and delivering longer term education programmes for young people and adults.
You will need to demonstrate:
- Strong commitment to anti-racism, a knowledge and understanding of racism and a passion to fight inequality.
- Experience delivering educational activities.
- Excellent facilitation skills and ability to engage diverse groups of participants.
- Ability to create and develop educational activities and ideas.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to meet specific deadlines and targets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding.
- Ability to use Microsoft IT packages.
