As a probationer, I was dismayed to see a lack of cultural inclusion and anti-racist education within the curriculum and I made the promise that when I became a teacher, I wanted to ensure education was as culturally inclusive as possible. I found out about this showcase and my pupils have done a lot of work on areas such as racism and black history month that I thought it would be a great opportunity for them to highlight their learnings through art.
