During our whole school Equalities week, Primary 3 were learning about how the actions of a significant individual from the past had influenced life then and since (SOC 1- 06a). We chose Ruby Bridges because she was a similar age and her story involved going to school. The class went on to create a big poster showing Ruby going to school but instead of racist placards and banners, we created anti-racist ones which showed love and support.
