Glassary Primary School P1-2 Multimedia

The children in Primary 1-4 at Glassary Primary School wanted to explore diversity. We travelled around the world to learn about different cultures and traditions.
This inspired us to look at race and how everyone has a different story to tell. We learned that we can look different in appearance but are the same on the inside. We created a line art collage by painting different skin colours on paper and drawing different faces over it.

We then discussed the history of racism and how current stereotypes can impact the lives of people and make them feel excluded. Primary 1-4 came up with ways that we can tackle racism. We created anti-racist poems to show that our differences should be celebrated and everyone should be kind to one another regardless of their skin colour.
