#SRtRCSpotlight: Southern Team in action with the Bees and Cherries
This week saw us deliver two exceptional events at two Premier League clubs. The Southern Team was privileged to work alongside the Community Foundations and Trusts at both Brentford FC and AFC Bournemouth.
First, we linked up with Brentford at the G-Tech Community Stadium. 30 local pupils, aged 11-16, joined us for a day of interactive workshops, a stadium tour with former BFC striker Marcus Gayle, and met Bees Women’s player, Kasha Petit & former player Chris Hughton, during our brilliant Q+A panel.
We then travelled to Vitality Stadium, home to AFC Bournemouth on the South Coast, for another top day. 60 KS2 pupils attended and participated in our Fans of the Future workshop and got to tour the ground and even the first tour group ever to see the brand-new changing room facilities at the Premier League club.

“Another two excellent events with clubs in the top-flight. The time and effort the Foundations put into these events is incredible, appreciated and it has been very enjoyable speaking to a variety of young people, at football clubs, across our region. I look forward to many more events in the near future.”
Club Event Lead & Educator, Jack Cunningham

A big thank you from the Team at Show Racism the Red Card to everyone at Brentford and Bournemouth, who supported and helped power our wonderful events for our young people.
