SRtRC Summer Roadshows to visit every local authority in Wales

Cymraeg

Show Racism the Red Card is taking its “How to Talk About…” Summer Roadshows across Wales this summer, with events taking place in all 22 local authority areas.

The Wales-wide roadshow series will run from 30th June to 24th September 2026. Each morning event will support people to build confidence, challenge racism and create real change in their communities, workplaces and everyday lives.

The SRtRC Summer Roadshows: How to Talk About… series is designed for anyone who wants to feel more confident having open, informed and constructive conversations about racism, anti-racism and the impact of discrimination.

Through expert panel discussions and interactive workshops, attendees will explore how to approach sensitive or challenging conversations with confidence, clarity, empathy and respect. The sessions will provide practical guidance, encourage shared learning and support participants to develop the tools needed to challenge racism, promote inclusion and help create safer, more respectful environments across Wales.

The roadshows are particularly relevant for people working in education, local authorities, youth services, community safety, housing, health, policing, social care, the third sector, community organisations and other public-facing roles where conversations about racism, identity, discrimination and inclusion may arise.

Show Racism the Red Card is encouraging individuals, organisations and community partners across Wales to attend a session in their local area and to help share the opportunity through their networks.

Dean Pymble Campaign manager for Wales

“The Roadshows are about creating space for honest, meaningful conversations and giving people the confidence and practical tools to challenge racism wherever they encounter it. By visiting every local authority in Wales, we want to support communities, organisations and individuals to speak up, stand together and drive change.”
