Show Racism the Red Card’s fringe meeting at UNISON Conference was packed out, with standing room only.

Clare Williams and Nicky Ramanandi from the Northern Region spoke about the work that we are doing with UNISON branches throughout their region, and the longstanding Ambassadors programme. Ged Grebby then outlined the work on the campaign throughout the UK, thanking UNISON for increasing their support and backing us for the last 28 years.

Glenn Williams from North West UNISON then spoke about the work to combat the far right that the union have undertaken for many years now. Glenn also spoke about the trips that the region have organised to Auschwitz and their educational impact on UNISON members.

Margaret Greer talked eloquently about the equalities work undertaken by the union and the importance of working with SRtRC.

The meeting was expertly chaired by Liz Snape who urged UNISON Branches to affiliate to SRtRC.

Huge thanks again to UNISON for all their support.
