Scotland’s Creative Competition 2025/26

On Tuesday 2 June, we gathered at Barclays Hampden Park for our annual Creative Competition Awards Ceremony, delivered in partnership with Qualifications Scotland.

Schools from across Scotland were invited to take part by creating a piece of artwork in the form of a poster, poem, short film, mini-series, TikTok, song or advertisement.

This year’s Creative Competition theme was “A World Without Racism.” Young people were encouraged to imagine a world where racism does not exist – a world where everyone is treated with fairness, kindness and respect, regardless of who they are or where they come from. Participants were asked to consider what that world would look, feel and sound like, and how people would live, play, learn and work together.

The competition received more than 2,700 submissions from schools and colleges across Scotland, ranging from Primary 1 pupils through to college students.

The event brought together around 150 young people, with finalists’ entries displayed on screens throughout the venue for everyone to admire.

Throughout the day, attendees enjoyed tours of Hampden Park, kindly donated by the Scottish Football Association (SFA), giving many young people the opportunity to explore Scotland’s national stadium.

In addition to the stadium tours, finalists were treated to an outstanding football freestyle performance from the talented Keepyuppy King, Graeme Lightbody.

This year’s ceremony was once again hosted by the fantastic Eunice Olumide and Gully Singh, whose enthusiasm and energy helped create a memorable atmosphere throughout the day.

Following the first half of the ceremony, a raffle draw gave every young person in attendance the chance to win a prize kindly donated by football clubs from across the country. Prizes included signed footballs, signed jerseys, match tickets and even a season ticket.

To round off the day, everyone in attendance was invited pitch-side for a group photograph, providing a fitting end to a fantastic celebration of creativity, inclusion and young people’s voices.
