Show Racism the Red Card Labour Party Conference meeting: ‘Putting Anti-Racism On The National Curriculum’

“Show Racism the Red Card are currently lobbying all political parties about putting antiracism education on the National Curriculum.  As part of this lobbying process we are at Labour Party Conference with former Liverpool and England legend John Barnes.  The Welsh Government have set the agenda, by putting antiracism on the curriculum in Wales and we are keen to use this model in the rest of the UK.”

Earlier this month, Show Racism the Red Card’s All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) met to hear from keynote speakers including the outgoing and incoming general secretaries of the National Education Union (NEU) in Kevin Courtney and Daniel Kebede respectively, who spoke on the need for anti-racism on the national curriculum.
