School Competition 2025 now open in England!

Show Racism the Red Card is thrilled to announce that the 2025 School Competition for England is now open!

Each year, we are amazed by the talent and creativity of young people across the country and deeply inspired by their commitment to fighting racism in all its forms.

The Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) School Competition is free to enter, open to young people of all ages and abilities, and serves as a powerful follow-up to educational programmes about racism.

Participants are encouraged to use SRtRC resources before creating their entries. The SRtRC Education Hub, available online and free to access, offers impactful educational materials that address various forms of racism and provide tools to challenge stereotypes and misconceptions.

Designed especially for teachers and educators, the Education Hub includes step-by-step lessons and activities to help promote anti-racism among young people in your school or organisation.

We invite participants to reflect on racism and create their own work on this important issue. Young people can submit entries in any format – artwork, creative writing, film, and even football boot or T-shirt designs. If it’s about tackling racism, we want to see it!

Building on last year’s success, we are also excited to bring back the Music Category, launched in partnership with Kickers.

It was a fantastic addition, and having the winners perform their songs at the Awards Ceremony made the day truly memorable. In 2025, the Music Category will once again be a highlight of the competition.

Each year, the entries submitted to Show Racism the Red Card showcase the impressive talent of young people and underscore how the competition serves as a powerful platform for spreading a positive anti-racism message.

This competition provides a unique opportunity for schools to actively demonstrate their commitment to equality and combating racism by participating in the UK’s largest equalities-themed school competition.

Schools have until 3rd March 2025 to register and join in!
