School Competition 2024 now open for all schools in England!

The Show Racism the Red Card School Competition 2024 is now open!

From today, all schools in England have the opportunity to take part in this exciting initiative, which helps to engage young people and gives them the opportunity to take ownership of the anti-racism message.

The SRtRC School Competition is free to enter, open to young people of all ages and abilities and is a great follow-on activity to educational work about racism.

We want to encourage participants to think about racism and produce their own work about this serious issue. Young people are welcome to produce work in any medium – artwork, creative writing, song, film, music, as well as football boot and T Shirt designs.

If it’s about tackling racism, we want to see it!

Each year, the entries received by Show Racism the Red Card highlight both the standard of young people’s own work and how the competition is an inspirational way of spreading a really positive anti-racism message.

This year we are delighted to launch two brand new categories in partnership with our friends at Kickers and EA Sports.

The Kickers Music category offers an exciting platform for young musicians to use their creativity and musical talent to promote positive social change and stand up against racism.

The EA SPORTS FC “Design a Boot” category is your chance to design a football boot to be featured in-game next year.

The Registration Form, more information on all categories and the rules and regulations can be found here: https://www.theredcard.org/competitions

Register your school by filling in the Registration Form or by e-mailing the required details to info@theredcard.org by 19th February 2024.

Participants should work with SRtRC resources before producing entries.

The SRtRC Education Hub is available online and free to access. The hub consists of dynamic and hard-hitting educational resources, exploring
various forms of racism and how to tackle stereotypes and misconceptions. Created specifically for teachers and educators, the Education Hub provides access to step-by-step, guided lessons and activities so that you can promote anti-racism amongst the young people in your school/organisation.
You can access the Hub at: https://theredcardhub.org

The SRtRC School Competition is a unique opportunity for schools to proactively demonstrate their commitment to equality and tackling racism by taking part in the UK’s largest equalities themed school competition

Schools have until 19th February 2024 to register to take part in the competition.

Good luck!
