Month of Action – Wales/Cymru

Every October SRtRC Wales and Scotland hold a Month of Action, encouraging footballing communities to reaffirm their commitment to anti-racism, host dedicated Match Actions and more.

M.O.A Cymru 23 will run from Sunday 1st October to Tuesday 31st October, the aim is to encourage all Welsh clubs to join in condemning racism in sport and society.

Currently across Wales an incredible total of 313 clubs, 2942 teams and 37,585 players and coaches have registered to take part this year.

A number of professional clubs and the national teams have committed to dedicating a game for match day actions:

Cardiff City –  7th October

Newport County – 20th October

Swansea City – 21st October

Wrexham – TBC

Wales Women’s team held a dedicated match on 26th September against Denmark.

Wales Men’s Team have a dedicated match on Wednesday 11th in Wrexham against Gibraltar

Photo challenge

This challenge is an opportunity for football clubs to showcase their creativity by channelling their inner Welsh squad. Get ready to grab your cameras, gather your team, and showcase your weird and wonderful team line-ups!

After creating your final line-up, share a photo of it on social media using the hashtag #MOACymru23 and tagging @theredcardwales.

When participating in this challenge, your main goal is to demonstrate your support for Show Racism the Red Card and tackling racism in sport and society but also to be creative. Use your imagination and have fun!
