Month of Action Cymru 2026: Welsh Football Stands Together Against Racism
Month of Action Cymru 2026: Welsh Football Stands Together Against Racism
There is no place for racism in football or society.
Show Racism the Red Card’s Month of Action Cymru 2026 is here, bringing together clubs, players, coaches, supporters, volunteers, officials, families and communities across Wales to send one clear and united message:
Racism has no place in our game.
Throughout October, football at every level across Wales will come together to support the campaign, raise awareness and demonstrate a collective commitment to challenging racism and discrimination both on and off the pitch.
For three decades, Show Racism the Red Card has worked to challenge racism through education, campaigning and awareness-raising.
Since our formation in 1996, professional footballers and other high-profile figures have helped us use the power of football to educate young people and adults about racism, its impact and the role we can all play in challenging it.
Thirty years on, that work remains as important as ever.
Racism continues to affect football and communities, whether through incidents at matches, online abuse or discrimination experienced in everyday life.
That is why visible support from Welsh football is so important.
Every player holding a red card, every club sharing a message, every supporter taking part and every conversation started helps reinforce the message that racism will not be accepted.
A number of key fixtures and weekends will help showcase Month of Action Cymru across Welsh football during October.
Sunday 4 October 2026 – Cymru Men
Month of Action activity will feature around the Cymru Men’s international fixture at Cardiff City Stadium.
Tuesday 6 October 2026 – Cymru Under-21s
The Cymru Under-21s will support the campaign as part of their fixture in Caernarfon.

Month of Action will be showcased at the Cymru Women’s international fixture at Parc y Scarlets.

Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October 2026 – Cymru Leagues
The Cymru Leagues will mark Month of Action across the final weekend of October.
Alongside these national dates, clubs throughout Wales are encouraged to select their own fixture, weekend or activity during October to demonstrate their support.
