“Sport has the unique power of bringing people from different backgrounds together uniting them with a common passion, Show Racism the Red Card has utilised the brand and power of professional sport clubs since it’s inceptions in 1996 to engage and educate people against all forms of racism. This year in partnership with the COSARAF Charitable Foundation and our other delivery partners, we aim to break barriers, build understanding, and celebrate diversity through our interfaith community Iftar celebrations. We’ll be building on the successes from previous years and increasing the reach and impact community cohesion through the support of COSARAF Charitable Foundation.”
Tashmina Hoque, Director of the COSARAF Charitable Foundation shared:
“Ramadan, one of the five pillars of Islam, is not only a deeply spiritual time for Muslims worldwide but also an opportunity to share our beliefs and traditions with others through community iftar events like this. Our new partnership with Show Racism the Red Card harnesses the unifying power of sport and the Islamic values of community and sharing to bring people together in a spirit of learning, understanding, and mutual respect. We are proud to sponsor this meaningful programme of events, fostering interfaith connections and strengthening communities across Wales.”
