At 6pm on Wednesday April 10th, the National Education Union hosted the launch of a new film by Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) about migration. The film, which features people with lived experience of migration aims to challenge the negative media and government rhetoric around migration and celebrates the enormous value that migration in all its forms brings to the UK

NEU Annual Conference 2024

The National Education Union (NEU) held its Annual Conference at the Bournemouth International Centre and SRtRC were in attendance to promote our educational work.

New SRtRC Educational Film Coming Soon

On Wednesday the 10th of April, we will be releasing our new educational film on combatting racism.

#OnTheGround: SRtRC Wales & Newport County Academy

Show Racism the Red Card organised an educational workshop for Newport County Academy. The workshop was held at Rodney Parade and it brought together players ranging from under 8 to 18 years, coaches, and other members of the academy. The workshop was aimed at empowering players to tackle racism both on and off the football pitch and focused on becoming anti-racism, including teaching the participants how to recognize and respond effectively to racist incidents in football matches

Voices: Find Support & Hope

Voices is SRtRC’s community platform, delivered in partnership with Frog Systems. It’s designed to give a voice to communities impacted by racism, and to encourage open communication about anti-racism and equality.

Burnley FC Educational Event

Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) recently organised an impactful event at Turf Moor, the home of Burnley FC, in collaboration with Burnley FC Community Trust. This event, attended by 120young people from local schools around Burnley, aimed to tackle racism head-on through a series of workshops, discussions, and inspiring guest appearances.

The General Secretary of the PCS union, Fran Heathcote, is a huge supporter of our campaign and understands how important it is to spread the awareness and significance of anti-racism.

“Leaders of Now” – Flintshire, Wales

Show Racism the Red Card Wales’ ambassadors project, “Leaders of Now: Empowering Young People to Tackle Racism”, is taking place within 4 secondary schools in Flintshire this academic year with thanks to funding from Flintshire Healthy Schools and the North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner.
