Migration. Making Britain Great. – TUC Conference 2023

On the 11th of September, SRtRC will be hosting a meeting alongside the NEU as part of the TUC conference in Liverpool, marking the next phase of launching our ‘Migration. Making Britian Great’ campaign.

Show Racism the Red Card partner with Merlin Entertainment and the London Eye

For Wear Red Day 2023, we are honoured to be partnering with Merlin Entertainment on a brand new, major educational initiative. As one of only three charities in the UK to partner with Merlin Entertainments (alongside WWF and Pride in London), the London Eye will be showcasing our dual produced in-class and in-pod educational resources to a selection of lucky London schools.

Racism in Grassroots Football Report – Wales

On Friday 23rd June 2023 at the Cardiff City Stadium, Show Racism the Red Card and Football Association of Wales launched a report into Racism in Grassroots Football in Wales and highlighting key recommendations for change.

Schools from across Manchester gathered at the Etihad Stadium for Show Racism the Red Card’s Changemakers event day. The students started the day with a number of anti-racism education workshops. They then went on to apply what they learnt in a creative thinking activity, thinking of ways to make a difference in their schools and how to implement active anti-racism. Attendees also got the opportunity to explore the stadium, first built ahead of the Manchester Commonwealth Games in 2002.

SRtRC launches ‘Migration. Making Britain Great’ campaign, celebrating migration across the UK

With the new Premier League season just days away, Show Racism the Red Card is launching a new initiative that will celebrate migration across the UK, highlighting the North East, West Midlands, and Scotland. Newcastle United legends launch video as research says seventy different nationalities will be represented when the Premier League kicks off!

Celebrating South Asian Heritage Month

South Asian Heritage Month runs every year from 18th July – 17th August, ending on the anniversary of Partition. At SRtRC we join all of the organisations and individuals who are celebrating and honouring the impact of South Asian culture.

North West Training the Trainers Programme with Black Country Healthcare Trust

Show Racism the Red Card Northwest Team has partnered with Black Country Healthcare Trust to conduct our ‘Training the Trainer’ programme. The initiative aims to empower leaders and managers with the necessary tools to facilitate conversations, address privilege and bias, and actively promote anti-racist practices within their workplace.

North West Spotlight – Unison Reps Ambassador Programme
