Show Racism the Red Card have today extended the deadline for schools to register for the ‘School Competition 2019’.

Schools now have until Friday 22nd March 2019 to register for the competition but all final entries must also be submitted by that date.

Show Racism the Red Card is pleased to announce that the venue for the SRtRC School Competition 2019 Awards Ceremony will be the Etihad Stadium, home of the current Premier League Champions, Manchester City FC.

The SRtRC School Competition sees young people from schools throughout England create their own anti-racism messages in a variety of formats and is the largest equalities-themed competition for young people in the country. Open to young people of all ages and abilities, the free-to-enter competition encourages participants to produce anti-racism themed artwork - in any medium; creative writing – including poetry, short stories and newspaper style articles; film and music pieces.

Throughout its history, entrants into the competition have produced truly inspirational work, some of which has gone on to be incorporated into the campaign’s wider awareness-raising activities.
