Show Racism the Red Card: #WeRemember

Show Racism the Red Card are proud to support the #WeRemember campaign which aims to spread knowledge and awareness of the holocaust.

The #WeRemember campaign seeks to harness the power of digital media to spread knowledge and awareness of the Holocaust, while passing on its lessons to younger generations in order to prevent future genocides and atrocities.

Individuals and organisations around the world take part by posting a picture of themselves holding a sign with the words “We Remember” to social media with the hashtag #WeRemember. All photos are then projected for 72 hours on the grounds of the Auschwitz Birkenau concentration camp, and subsequently live-streamed via Facebook LIVE, YouTube, and Twitter.

Last year, saw a significant level of participation notable individuals, organisations, governments, and sporting clubs – with Chelsea Football Club, Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, UNESCO Director General Audre Azoulay, and Pope Francis taking part, just to name a few. In total, the campaign reached 650 million people worldwide through traditional and digital media channels. Each and every participant serves as a catalyst for furthering the global fight against antisemitism, racism, xenophobia, and hatred in general.
