The deadline for Scottish submissions for the Show Racism the Red Card Creative Competition has been extended until Friday 15th February!
The competition is your opportunity to make a stand against racism. Scotland’s young people are incredibly creative and this competition is their chance to have their voices heard when speaking out against racism.
Racism is on the rise and it is important that as many young people as possible challenge negative attitudes through the power of creativity.
The theme for this years competition is: Inspirational people from the anti-racism movement.
With the theme in mind we would like you to develop a piece of creative work that get across clear messages of anti-racism.
It could be:
· Short Story
· Creative writing
· Dance/Drama performance
· Research project
· Multimedia presentation
In fact it could be anything that is creative, inspirational and stimulated by an anti-racism message.
Entries are welcome from both individuals and groups. Finalists will be invited to a star-studded awards ceremony on 21st March at Hampden Park to receive public acclaim for their work and receive their award prizes.
This is a great opportunity to work with Show Racism the Red Card to show that young people are serious about making Scotland a fair and inclusive society – we hope that you will be part of it.
