With October coming to an end and the conclusion of the Month of Action we reflect back on what has been a hugely successful 2018 Month of Action.
Over 600 teams have shown their support across Wales hosting a number of action weeks through October.
The Show Racism the Red Card actions weeks once again formed part of the Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE) Football People Action Weeks.
The action weeks united supporters, clubs, ethnic minorities and communities affected by discrimination and helped to raise awareness of discrimination in football.
Each of our partnership clubs showed their supports during the Month and were joined by over 600 grassroots teams across Wales.
Campaign Coordinator for Wales said, “Having opened up the Month of Action to grassroots clubs to ‘Join the Action’ this season we have been blown away by the number of clubs getting involved and showing their support throughout the month. It is essential that our partnership clubs continue to show their support as in previous years, but seeing the contribution that clubs at all levels have shown this year is truly humbling. We hope clubs continue to stand up to racism and report any incidents that occur in Wales during the remainder of the season and beyond.”
We would like to thank all the clubs that showed their support for the campaign during October and would also like to thank the Football Association of Wales for funding our Month of Action.
