The Graham Taylor OBE Memorial Award will become an annual feature in our English Schools Competition
Rita Taylor, Graham's widow, feels proud. She said: "Love it when children of that age can be involved. We’d be delighted for this award to be part of the Show Racism the Red Card programme each year."
Gordon Taylor OBE, CEO of the PFA, said: “Graham would be thrilled to have his name associated with such an award for children, particularly coming from Show Racism the Red Card and recognising the next generations’ invaluable contribution to equality for the whole community – an issue which he cared deeply about!"
Ged Grebby, Chief Executive of SRtRC, said: "Graham Taylor was a patron of our charity for many years and an inspiration to all those who knew him. We wanted to keep Graham’s legacy with our campaign going and could think of no better way than through the work of the young people involved in our anti-racism education competition. Graham was always someone who could relate to young people and I am sure he would approve of his name being added to a category in our competition.”
