As part of a two year Erasmus programme, SRtRC organisations from 8 European countries met in Finland for 3 days between 6th - 8th February 2017.
Representatives attended from Holland, England, Ireland, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Iceland.
The aim of the 3 days was to swap good practice between the different projects and take part in a Teacher Training programme.
Ged Grebby said “The campaign in Finland has done some outstanding work over the last few years and it was great to finally get to visit the individuals and organisations who have been campaigning against racism."
"The Nordic Countries of Finland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway have developed excellent Show Racism the Red Card campaigns via their players unions and it was very instructive to have an update on each countries progress."
"We had a very fruitful discussion on the need for European cooperation to defeat racism and the rise of the far right."
"Over our 20 year history we have picked up some great ideas from other European organisations fighting racism and this meeting was again a very productive one."
"My thanks go to the Finnish Players Union for organising a great three days of speakers, activities and reports."
