Overview of educational work delivered by SRtRC Education teams across England
The North-East and South-East Education teams have been delivering educational workshops throughout England during January.
Throughout the month of September the Show Racism the Red Card (England) Education teams worked to collectively deliver practical and imaginative workshops and events across England:
137 hours of workshop activities, excluding assemblies and fun fitness sessions
1,632 pupils participated
16 Primary Schools
4 Secondary Schools
In the North East, the Education team delivered 43 workshops, over 98 hours to a total of 986 school students, across the region in 11 Primary schools and 2 Secondary schools.
In the Southern region, the Education team delivered 23 workshops, over 39 hours to a total 646 students, across the south region in 5 Primary schools and 2 Secondary schools.
In addition, the Southern team provided a teacher training conference in Southend-on-Sea. Manisha, our South team education worker also spoke on the panel of ‘A Different Kind of Woman’ about the topic of skin bleaching. The programme is due to air on Sky channel 203 on 11th Oct at 4pm, 15th Oct at 11am, and the 17th Oct at 4pm.
