Full Jermain Defoe interview available on the international players’ union website
Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) is nearing completion of a new version of the Show Racism the Red Card film. The film will feature interviews with a range of role-models from the world of football, all keen to share their experiences and advice about racism.
A comprehensive report about the completed interviews has been added to this website and a selection of full interviews is available on the campaign’s YouTube channel.
FIF-Pro, the international players union; is one of a number of organisations supporting the production of this film, alongside The National Union of Teachers, The Professional Footballers Association, UNISON and Unite.
Earlier this year, SRtRC revealed how the campaign will co-operate closely with FIF-Pro over the next three years, assisting each other and jointly launch initiatives in the fight against racism and discrimination, aiming for more diversity in football and society.
FIF-Pro has featured one of the full interviews for the new film on their website. Jermain Defoe talks about his experiences in football and society. Jermain is a long-time supporter of the campaign, being both an Honorary Patron and Hall of Fame member.
Thanks to FIF-Pro for their ongoing support, more updates on the film will follow shortly.
