Welsh office to make short film to challenge dangerous anti-immigration messages
“Break Every Chain Productions is so glad to have been given the opportunity to work with Show Racism the Red Card. As a filmmaker I am passionate about creating films that fight injustice in all areas, and challenging people to think. I cannot wait to start changing minds with Show Racism the Red Card”.
Thanks to sponsorship from Sport Wales and Unite the Union, SRtRC Wales is pleased to confirm a partnership with Break Every Chain Productions, a Cardiff based company headed by Helen Capelin who is a freelance filmmaker.
This exciting project will see us produce a number of short clips featuring individuals from the Migrant communities in Wales sharing their positive and negative experiences. The clips will then amalgamate into short films that will be used in our education work to inform and challenge young people and prevent the formation of racist ideas.
Excerpts may also be featured in the educational film currently being made by SRtRC England featuring stories from migrants from all over the UK including Cesc Fabregas and Jozy Altidore. The film will be used extensively throughout England, Scotland and Wales.
Break Every Chain Productions have previously worked with a number of other organisations and examples of their work can be found on their website
