Migrant-led organisation highlights the human face of the immigration debate and examines the impact of the issue on the election
The Election Edition of the Migrant Voice newspaper is out now and features articles on a wide variety of topics associated with immigration; strengthening the voice, participation and representation of migrants in the media in order to encourage a more balanced, well-informed and inclusive debate on migration in Britain.
The issues of migrants as voters, the UK asylum system, the ‘row’ over interpreters and the impact of international crises are all covered alongside a variety of positive and humanistic features which share the experiences of migrants in the UK and across the world.
Migrant Voice have recently partnered up with Show Racism the Red Card to support the development of a new educational resource and film which seeks to challenge the racism associated with immigration and provide young people and adults with techniques and skills to discuss the issue of immigration without prejudice.
SRtRC are proud to work alongside such a passionate and important organisation and welcome the ‘change in conversation’ which is reinforced by the newspaper and the organisations wider work in general.
