Overview of educational work delivered by SRtRC Education teams in March
The North-East and South-East Education teams have been delivering educational workshops throughout England during March.
Throughout the month of March the Show Racism the Red Card (England) Education teams worked to collectively deliver practical and thought provoking workshops and events across England:
179 hours of workshop activities, excluding assemblies and fun fitness sessions
2429 pupils participated
26 Primary Schools
5 Secondary Schools
In the North East, the Education team delivered a total of 50 workshops, over 90 hours to 1120 school students, across the region in 19 Primary schools and 1 Secondary school.
In the Southern region, the Education team delivered 46 workshops, over 89 hours to a total 1309 students, across the southern region in 7 Primary schools and 4 Secondary schools.
In addition, the South East team provided teacher training at the Buckinghamshire anti-bullying event. The feedback from this event was very encouraging with over 95% of attendees stating that the event was either excellent or very good.
The team also provided a talk & workshop on tackling extremism to secondary school student leaders with over 90% of attendees at this event saying that the event was either excellent or very good.
