Tackling racism with Pil Primary School.
Pil primary school pupils were lucky to attend a workshop at the Civic Centre in Bridgend. Chris Stokes (Educational Worker) got things underway educating the young students on racism and stereotypes that are associated with different religions. Steve Jenkins (Ex. Footballer and Sessional Coach) looked in to the different terminology that should and shouldn’t be used.
We were pleased to be joined in the workshop by the leader of Bridgend Council, Councillor Nott, as well as a number of other councillors. Thank you to Karen Ferri, from the Council’s Inclusion Service and Paul Williams, Equalities and Engagement Officer, for helping organise the event on behalf of the council.
