Newcastle United's Sammy Ameobi and Middlesbrough's Kei Kamara have joined the SRtRC as Ambassadors.
At recent club events at St James' Park and the Riverside Stadium, the two players agreed became Ambassadors for the Show Racism the Red Card campaign.
After the event in Newcastle, Ameobi said: I think it's great. It helps, especially with kids coming to events like we've seen here... It gives them more knowledge and as they're growing up they will learn to know it's a bad thing."
Following his involvement with the Riverside event, Kamara explained his decision: "It's actually amazing, I've seen a few videos of players supporting the campaign and for me, I'm African, I'm black and I'm Muslim, being around here and being able to support something like this is huge."
On the two players showing their support for the charity, Chief Executive Ged Grebby said: "It's great news for the campaign that high profile professional footballers like Kei and Sammy have chosen to support Show Racism the Red Card. We are delighted that both have agreed to become ambassadors and will continue to be excellent role models for young people who look up to them".
