Players at the Newport Sports Development festival showed their support for anti racism
Young people from primary schools across Newport attended the Gol Centre in Newport to take part in a football tournament organised by the Newport Sport Development team.
Prior to the tournament kicking off all the players joined together in showing their support for Show Racism the Red Card and our anti racism message.
Campaign Worker Jason Webber said: “It is great to see so many players from different backgrounds across Newport come together to take part in a football festival and show their support for the campaign. It is important that we share our messages with as many people we can and using football is a key way of doing this.”
All the players received SRtRC Newport County FC anti racism posters and also had the chance to meet players from the club at the end of the day.
We would like to thank the Newport Sport Development team for linking up with the campaign and for the young people for showing their support.
