Caerau Primary have a visit from our Education Team
As part of our partnership with Bridgend Council, county councillor Phil John had arranged for our Education Team along with the local PCSO’s, to visit the school and deliver one of our workshops to the children of Caerau Primary School. Aimee and Chris delivered our workshop to all 3 of the classes in years 5 & 6 as part of a wider strategy to develop cohesion within the community.
Both the children and the teachers that were supporting were excellent and everyone really enjoyed it. The kids were engaged throughout all the sessions answering questions and asking a few of their own in return. It was great to have the local PCSO’s, Natalie and Kayleigh, involved in the session as well to draw on their local knowledge and to develop partnerships further within the community. The team are also looking forward to delivering sessions to local youth workers and to members of the local youth club in Caerau.
There was even time for the children to work on their entries to our Annual School Competition. More information about the competition is available here - http://www.theredcard.org/educational/competitions/wales
