We delivered our ‘Dealing with Racism for players’ Educational workshop to Prestatyn Town FC academy
Our Dealing with racism educational workshop provides some key lessons and advice for young players. During the session the players have shared some issues they have come across while playing with us,as a result of the workshop and the discussions, the players now have a better understanding of how to deal with these issues and how to report them in the future.
Jason Webber - Campaign Worker
The Seasiders academy became the 4th club to have a player training session this season. We delivered two sessions to their under 8-13 age groups as part of our new player training workshops program.
Campaign worker Jason Webber and Education Worker Aimee Jones attended Bastion Gardens to deliver an educational workshop to the players.
The workshop focused on explaining what racism is, how the players can deal with racism and the procedures and importance of reporting racism.
The young players were very engaged in the topic and had many experiences to share and questions to ask.
The end of the session focused on terminology, specifically what words are acceptable or unacceptable in society, which cleared up any confusion amongst the squad.
The 4th session of its kind was again big success and continues to show the benefit of delivering this training to football players in Wales.

We would like to thank the club for supporting the player training program and the players for taking part in the workshop.
