We visited Latham Park for our event with WPL side Newtown FC.
Young people from Treowen Primary School attended the stadium for the day for our club event with Welsh Premier League side Newtown FC.
Pupils took part in an educational workshop delivered by education worker Chris Stokes learning about the topic of racism through interactive games and discussions.
During the workshop the young people took the chance to make additional notes adding to the research they had done prior to the event to aid in the production of their newspaper articles they will be writing when back at school after the event.
The afternoon session was supported by Welsh Football Trust Club development officer Eleri Williams who was joined by campaign worker Jason Webber for the role play press conference.
The young people posed questions on racism in football and society to the panel who faced some tough intelligent questions.
The best asked questions on the day won a signed football and a SRtRC goodie bag.
We would like to thank the school for attending the event, the club and Eleri for supporting the day.
