Young people are taking part in a soccer school funded by the SRtRC FOA Grants this week
Port Talbot Town FC is running a soccer school this week as part of a Fortnight of Action Grants project.
Young people signed up on the course will be taking part in fun football games over the course of the week and as part of the project had a talk by campaign worker Jason Webber.
The children also showed their support for the campaign and its key messages by holding up red cards.
Jason said, “Port Talbot Town FC’s community department were one of the successful grant applicants this year and it was great to see so many young people coming together supporting different clubs and playing together. The grant project gives the opportunity for clubs and community groups to run projects to encourage community cohesion along with the anti racism message. The young people who were engaged in conversation about the issue understood its consequences and how it can effect people.”
SRtRC will be holding a club event with Port Talbot Town FC on the 20th November and will continue to work with the club on other projects over the season.
