Award winning journalist and author Gary Younge visited the North East to give a talk on Dr Martin Luther King.
The event, held at Northumbria University on Saturday, was to launch his new book,

On the talk, Ged said: "Over one hundred people attended the launch of Gary Younge's new book at Northumbria University on a wet Saturday night, to hear Gary speak for over forty minutes on Martin Luther King's 'I have a dream' speech."
Younge, who is based in the US, said: "A fantastic evening in Newcastle on Saturday thanks to Show Racism the Red Card with a receptive audience of over a hundred asking brilliant questions about King's I have a dream speech."

Gary, who is touring the UK and Ireland with his book, is due to appear at The University of Westminster in London on October 16th and The University of Bristol on October 17th.
