Stars of the world game show their support for new sanctions and anti-racism education.
UEFA and its member national associations adopted a resolution at the XXXVII Ordinary UEFA Congress which emphasised European football’s determination to eliminate racism from the sport.
UEFA’s Respect campaign this season focuses on the anti-racism message – No To Racism which highlights that racism, intolerance and discrimination have no place in football.
To commemorate the launch of the campaign, UEFA have developed a video featuring many of the starts of world football including Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Chelsea players David Luiz and Michael Essien.
The players, together with referees, tell viewers why they do not tolerate racism and explain how the game’s governing body will be tackling the issue this season.
