Stars of the Barcelona team make anti-racism statement before pre-season game in Norway.
Lionel Messi and his Barcelona team mates held up red cards before kick-off in their recent pre-season game against Valerenga in Norway as the team showed their support for the Show Racism the Red Card campaign (message in Norwegian) and solidarity for the victims of the 2011 Norwegian massacre.
Also included in the line up was Argentina star Javier Mascherano, Cameroon’s Alex Song and Chile’s Alexis Sanchez.
Baracelona ran out 7-0 winners with goals from Alexis, Tello, Messi, Dos Santos, Dongou (2), and Joan Román.
Liverpool FC also showed their support when they played Valerenga in a pre-season game on August 7th. The Anfield club finished that game 4-1 winners.
Big thanks to Valerenga for their ongoing support and to Liverpool and Barcelona for their backing.
