Tangerines host more than 100 young people
More than 100 young people from Blackpool joined Tangerines’ stars at Bloomfield Road recently to learn about the dangers of racism.
Blackpool FC players Alex Addai, James Caton, Adda Djizeri, Banvo Anderson and Bryce Iriebi took part in Show Racism the Red Card’s Q&A panel – fielding questions on racism from the Year 5 and 6 pupils.
The pupils from Revoe Primary School, Christ the King Primary School and Baines Endowed Primary School took part in educational workshops and got a chance to watch SRtRC’s new anti-racism film before meeting the players.
SRtRC Campaign Worker Gavin Sutherland said: “All the young people were well engaged with the issue, posing some excellent questions to our panel on the day.
“They enjoyed both the film and the activities and hopefully took the anti-racism message away.”
