Full report released.
Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) welcomes the release of the 63 page report by the Independent Regulatory Commission into the incident that took place between John Terry and Anton Ferdinand at Loftus Road on 23rd October 2011.
The report is a detailed analysis of the events that took place that day and clearly sets out the reasoning behind the decision and sanctions imposed, whilst recognising John Terry's right to appeal within 14 days.
SRtRC takes into consideration and understands the Commission’s reasoning behind the sanctions imposed and agree with the conclusions of the report that elements of Mr Terry’s defence were "improbable", "implausible" and "contrived".
SRtRC is pleased that the issue has clearly been taken seriously and are in favour of the strongest possible punishments for racist abuse.
