SRtRC hosts a fringe meeting at discussing racism in schools
Liz Snape of UNISON will chair a fringe meeting for Show Racism the Red Card at UNISON's National Conference on 21st June. SRtRC Education Workers Kate Hollinshead and Paul Mortimer, a former professional footballer, will be speaking about racism in Britain's schools and how UNISON can help in the fight for equality. Joining them is professional footballer Jason Euell for a Question & Answer session.
Dave Prentis, General Secretary of UNISON, pledged his ongoing support to our campaign:
"From 1996 onwards, UNISON has been a major supporter of Show Racism the Red Card. I encourage UNISON delegates to attend this fringe meeting: find out more about the work of the campaign and pledge your support. UNISON fully backs this cause - engaging with the high profile of football is a highly effective way to challenge racism in society."
Note to UNISON delegates: the fringe meeting takes place in the Tregonwell Bar at 12.45pm on 21st June. We hope to see you there!
