Burton Albion's Darren Moore is the latest player to join our Honorary Patrons
Show Racism the Red Card welcomes Darren Moore as an Honorary Patron of the campaign. The Birmingham-born Jamaican International has played for Torquay United, Doncaster Rovers, Bradford City, Portsmouth, West Bromwich Albion, Derby County, Barnsley and Burton Albion during his 19-year career. Darren joined Burton Albion FC in May 2010 from Barnsley. He was annouced as their club captain in August 2010.
In addition to his work on the pitch, Moore has dedicated much of his time to community and charity projects. Darren was awarded "PFA Player in the Community Award" in the 2011 Football League awards. This was in recognition for Darren's commitment to his clubs' community programmes throughout his career.
Darren is a member of the PFA's Management Committee, where he serves with fellow Show Racism the Red Card Patrons Clarke Carlisle, Scott Mcgleish, Zesh Rehman and Jason Roberts.
Darren has been a long standing supporter of Show Racism the Red Card, having worked with us at an event at Barnsley FC two years ago. We look forward to working with him in the coming season.
