Another new patron for Show Racism the Red Card

Burnley FC's Clarke Carlisle becomes the second player this week to support the charity by becoming a patron.

Burnley defender Clarke Carlisle has become the latest patron to the charity.

Clarke has also just been announced as the new chair of the Professional Footballers Association - we would like to extend our congratulations and wish him every success in this role.

Clarke has been a supporter of Show Racism the Red Card for a number of years and has attended several of our anti-racist educational events.  By becoming a patron he has pledged to continue to support the campaign in this way.

He joins a host of current and former professional footballers, managers and other role models, most recently Sol Campbell, Cesc Fabregas and Roberto Martinez.

Show Racism the Red Card would like to thank all patrons for their support and for their valuable role in inspiring and educating young people against racism.
