The Welsh campaign held their first event of the season in North Wales with Wrexham AFC at the Racecourse Stadium.
“This is the second season running where we have had a event at Wrexham in the fantastic Racecourse ground, once again the messages the pupils had will help towards their education of racism and understanding its consequences.”.

The event saw the second all day event of the season, the morning session saw Show Racism the RED Card Patron’s & education worker’s Leroy Rosenior and Christian Roberts delivered our Anti Racist educational workshop to 65 School children from Gwenfo CP School and Brynteg Primary School that compromised of a DVD and activities from the SRtRC ‘A Safe Place’ resource on Asylum Seekers and Refugees.
The young children explored the reasons as to why Asylum Seekers and Refugees flee their own country and investigated how this must feel to leave everything you have behind.
This workshop was followed by a tour of the Racecourse Stadium.
The main event in the afternoon was attended by special guests from the North Wales Police and Wrexham Council.
The 65 School children from Gwenfo CP School and Brynteg Primary School then stayed for the main event where SRtRC “Racism and the Beautiful game” DVD was shown for the first time in North Wales.
The Question & Answer session included ex Wrexham AFC player Lee Jones, the ex Wrexham player was also joined on the panel by ex West Ham and Fulham player Leroy Rosenior and ex Cardiff City player Christian Roberts. Special guests from the North Wales Police spoke about Racism as a offence assisted by Wrexham Council.
The prize winner’s received a signed shirt and ball football by the Wrexham squad.
