Creative Competition 2012, January 17th 2012
Show Racism the Red Card Scotland’s Creative Competition in Scotland is now in its 8th year.
More about this event...
Having re-launched in 2010 with new partners the SQA and SFA and expanding it from a schools competition to a competition that allows primary, secondary special schools and colleges to participate. The competition closing date for 2012 entries is Friday 27th January.
We are hoping to have more entries than ever this year and are not only hoping to see some fantastic work with a strong anti-racism message but we have included entries with an anti-sectarian message as well. We have asked pupils and students to develop a piece of creative work that gets across a loud and clear message that racism and sectarianism have no place in our society. It could be:
· Artwork
· Poetry
· Short story
· Creative writing
· Music
· Dance or drama performance
· Research project
· Multimedia presentation
The competition will culminate with a special prize giving ceremony at Hampden Park, Scotland’s home of football on Thursday 22nd March. Pupils and students from all over Scotland will attend this event with special guests to receive recognition for their work.
