Niall Quinn pledges his support to our 'FA Charity of the Year' Bid

SRtRC are delighted to receive a letter of support from Sunderland's Chairman.

More on this article...

Dear Ged,

I'm writing to you to show both mine and everybody at Sunderland AFC's support towards Show Racism the Red Card, as you aim to become the FA Charity of the Year for 2011.

It has been an honour and a privilege to be an
Honorary Patron for the charity and watching the valuable work that you do continue to grow, not only within Sunderland and the North East, but throughout Great Britain.

The education that Show Racism the Red Card provides to children is valuable not only within sport but within any walk of life as we aim to put a stop to anti-social and anti-discriminatory behaviour.

To be able to say that you have presented valuable workshops to over 50,000 young people is a remarkable achievement and as the charity continues to strive forward I am delighted to continue my support in your 15th year as a charity, building on your many successes.

Many congratulations to everybody who has made the charity what it is today and I wish you every success in your application to become the FA Charity of the Year for 2011.

Yours sincerely,

Nial Quinn
Chairman
Sunderland AFC
