Show Racism the Red Card fringe meeting at the Labour Party Conference 2018

On Tuesday 25th September 2018, Show Racism the Red Card are holding a fringe meeting at the Labour Part Conference 2018. The meeting will take place in room 11A of the ACC Liverpool and it will run from 17:30 - 18:30. The guest speakers include David Lammy MP (Member of Parliament for Tottenham), John Barnes (Former Engand and Liverpool footballer), Jo Stevens MP (Member of Parliament for Cardiff Central), Chi Onwurah MP (Member of Parliament for Newcastle upon Tyne Central), Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi MP (Member of Parliament for Slough), Len McCluskey (General Secretary, Unite the Union). 

Labour’s Annual Conference takes place every autumn and is one of the largest and most high profile political events in Europe.

Show Racism the Red Card Chief Executive, Ged Grebby, said; 

“On Sunday 23rd September, Labour Party Conference will be supporting Wear Red Day 2018 with 4,000 delegates holding up our Wear Red Day cards. We are delighted that the Labour Party are endorsing this day of solidarity with Show Racism the Red Card and would encourage all other political parties in the UK to follow suit. Wear Red Day 2018 takes place on Friday 19th October.”
