On becoming a Patron Roy said “I am proud to add my name to the patrons list of the anti-racism charity Show Racism the Red Card. Racism has no place in the 21st Century and football must do all it can to help eradicate it not just from the game but from society as a whole.

“Crystal Palace Football Club have been outstanding supporters of Show Racism the Red Card for 20 years now and I am happy, as manager, to be part of this collaboration.”

SRtRC Chief Executive, Ged Grebby, welcomed Roy's support saying “It is great to have Roy Hodgson as a patron of our charity.  Roy is a longstanding supporter of our anti-racism education work and as England manager was proactive in getting his players to support the campaign.

Show Racism the Red Card have an excellent working relationship with CPFC, their Community Department and Study Support Centre.  We look forward to working with Roy over the course of the next year.”
