January Update: New year, same goal

After a quick break, the SRtRC Wales Team has been straight back in the classroom. Some say begin as you mean to go on and if January is anything to go by, it’s going to be a busy year!

In January, the Wales Team visited:

18 Primary Schools

3 Secondary Schools

2 Football Clubs

We worked with a total of 1,564 young people across these sessions.

We would be very grateful if the SRtRC workshop could visit our school on a yearly basis. I found the workshop very insightful and my class learnt a great deal from the morning. My class have continued to have very thought provoking conversations centred around the workshop for days afterwards. The activities were pitched at the ideal level for all pupils to engage and learn from.

The Wales Team has also been delivering adult training this month, in partnership with the National Education Union (NEU) at University of Wales Trinity Saint David in addition to conducting training for youth workers, supported by the Rhondda Cynon Taff Council.

In total, 162 adults received training from the charity in this month.

If you would like to learn more about how you can book in either youth or adult training with us, please head to: http://www.theredcard.org/education/

This month, Campaign Manager Sunil and Support Worker Rosa featured on Radio Cardiff to talk about the campaign and our upcoming Creative Arts Competition.
