Everyone involved with Show Racism the Red Card has been overwhelmed by the response to Wear Red Day 2017 and we would therefore like to take this opportunity to offer our heartfelt thanks to the thousands of you throughout the UK who supported the day. Thanks to the brilliant efforts of thousands of individuals the annual fundraising day managed to raise a staggering £23,579. This money will be used to carry on educating young people about anti-racism throughout England, Scotland and Wales. Your support makes a massive difference to the campaign and we hope that as a society, we all reap the rewards of anti-racism education.
On Friday 20th October 2017, Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) hosted their annual fundraising day, Wear Red Day (WRD). For the third year in a row the day was a UK wide success, which has gone from strength to strength since the pilot initiative back in October 2015.
Wear Red Day involves individuals from schools, workplaces and businesses donating £1 and wearing red in support of Show Racism the Red Card. Once again, the annual fundraiser caught the hearts and imaginations of people throughout England, Wales and Scotland who are passionate about making a stand against racism.
