The Scottish Team travelled to McDiarmid Park, St Johnstone FC’s home ground to present former Councillor Archie MacLellan with a Hall of Fame award.
Archie recently retired from the council after 14 years of pioneering work for equality and diversity. Through his dedication and passion he managed to work across the political divide to ensure fairness across all of the protected characteristics.
Archie is a strong supporter of the campaign and has consistently campaigned for a partnership with Show Racism the Red Card in Perth and Kinross Council. As a result we have been working in the area for the last 12 years delivering workshops to over 7000 young people reducing prejudicial attitudes and increasing empathy to minority ethnic communities.
Archie joins a long and distinguished list of football stars, celebrities and passionate anti-racism activists who have made an outstanding contribution to the charity.
